1. Do we use cookies?
Not in the traditional sense. This site uses your browser's local storage(a similar technology to cookies) for two things:
- A convenience copy of your waitlist entry, so the page can greet you on return visits
- Your signed-in session token, so you stay logged in to your waitlist account on this device
Beyond local storage, we set one first-party cookie: your cookie consent choice(the selection you make in the consent banner), kept for about six months so we don't ask you on every visit. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may also set strictly necessary security cookies when protecting the site from abuse, including during Turnstile bot checks on our signup and login forms. None of this storage is readable by other websites or used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
2. What we don't use
- No analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics)
- No advertising or retargeting pixels
- No cross-site tracking scripts
For aggregate visit counts we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is deliberately cookieless: it sets nothing on your device, builds no personal profiles, and does no cross-site tracking. If we ever add analytics that stores anything on your device, it will sit behind the optional "Analytics" category in the consent banner and stay off unless you enable it.
3. Your choices
The consent banner appears on your first visit; you can reopen it any time via theCookie preferences link in the footer to review or change your selection. Everything the site uses today is strictly necessary, so there is nothing you currently need to opt out of; optional categories will always default to off.
You can also clear local storage for this site at any time through your browser's settings (usually under Privacy / Site Data). Doing so signs you out and removes the local copy of your entry on that device. Your account, waitlist entry, and queue position are stored on our servers and are not affected; to delete those, see "Your choices and rights" in our Privacy Policy.
